INPhINIT “la Caixa” Doctoral Fellowships Programme
”la Caixa” Foundation grants 30 fellowships for researchers of any nationality who wish to pursue a doctorate in a STEM discipline at research centres of excellence in Spain or Portugal

The CRG actively participates in the highly competitive INPhINIT fellowship call, which awards 30 PhD fellowships across the top research centers in Spain and Portugal. We encourage interested candidates to apply and start their research journey with us!
Fellowship Highlights:
- Scope and Focus: Open to candidates in STEM disciplines, including technology, engineering, physics, mathematics, health, and life sciences.
- Fellowship Duration: Up to 4 years of fully funded research.
- Comprehensive Support: Funding includes labor and research costs, tuition fees, and a unique on-site training program to enhance multidisciplinary skills.
Application Requirements:
- Experience: Candidates must have fewer than four years of research experience as of the application deadline.
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates should hold a degree qualifying them for a PhD program in Spain or Portugal at the time of recruitment.
- Research Activity: Candidates must not have started a PhD prior to the fellowship.
- Mobility: Candidates must not have lived or conducted their main activity in Spain or Portugal for more than 12 months in the past three years.
- English Proficiency: Candidates must submit proof of English language proficiency as outlined in the call’s participation rules.
The selection process is ensured by the ”la Caixa” Foundation, and candidates should apply before January 23, 2025 (2pm Pensisular Spain). The final results will be published on the ”la Caixa” Foundation website on June 6, 2025.

Retaining ”la Caixa” Doctoral INPhINIT Fellowships
This frame is addressed to any discipline and any university or research centre in Spain or Portugal. Candidates must have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the call deadline.
