2nd Spanish Worm Meeting 2009
2nd Spanish Worm Meeting 2009
The Spanish Worm Meeting 2009 will take place in Barcelona from 26-27 March 2009. The 2 day meeting is co-hosted by the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) and Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), and will include an advanced imaging workshop at ICFO.
The meeting is a biannual opportunity for Spanish C. elegans researchers to meet and exchange ideas, and will include talks by two international speakers. C. elegans, a microscopic nematode worm, is one of the most popular model organisms for studying fundamental problems in biology. Within the past 6 years, three Nobel Prizes have been awarded for research on C. elegans.
The meeting is generously sponsored by the ICFO, the CRG, Nikon, IZASA and the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN).
The meeting is co-organised by Julián Cerón (Institut de Recerca – Hospital Vall d’Hebron), Susana Santos (ICFO), and Ben Lehner (CRG).
Registration is free for all researchers before 1st March 2009.
For more information and registration forms please see the Spanish C. elegans website, the poster and the preliminary programme to your right.
