Workshop on True Image Deconvolution, Restoration, and Analysis

Workshop on True Image Deconvolution, Restoration, and Analysis
If you are interested in producing high-quality microscopy images and obtaining reliable analysis results, this workshop may be of interest to you. Topics covered will include diffraction, acquisition pitfalls, spherical aberration, photon noise, Point Spread Function, Nyquist-Shannon Sampling Rate, Image Quality Control, crosstalk, (colocalization) analysis, and deconvolution. In addition, the Huygens Software will be demo-ed. Attendees will be provided with a trial version of the Huygens Software for the workshop.
Topics that are going to be addressed:
- Imaging pyramid of compromise - frustration
- Diffraction/blurring
- Deconvolution
- Acquisition pitfalls
- Spherical aberration
- Photon noise
- Point Spread Function
- Nyquist-Shannon Sampling Rate
- Image Quality Control
- Crosstalk
- Chromatic aberration
- (Colocalization) analysis
What NOT to expect:
Image restoration can significantly improve the segmentation and analysis of images, yet if the images suffer from undersampling or clipping, we recommend users to re-image their data. Nyquist-Shannon sampling should be given a higher priority than signal to background.
