2008 Brain Illusions Fair

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), the Event lab from the UB and IDIBAPS, and the Neuroscience Institute of the UAB are proud to present you the 2008 Brain Illusions Fair.

The science fair will be host on Friday 19th of December from 7pm till 12pm, at Razzmatazz Sala 2 (Calle Pamplona 88, Poble Nou, Barcelona). Entrance is free for every one above 16 years old (with ID).

Come and do an amazing trip in your own brain!

More than 15 scientists of the most prestigious research centers of Barcelona will leave their labs for this very special night.

They will let you make incredibly surprising and fun experiences:

• you will be able to make your body move virtually only with your brain power
• you will try to walk along a line with special glasses that modified your vision as if you had drunk too much alcohol.
• you will hear people approaching that do not exist
• and much more

Scientists will let you experience and, even more important, they will help you to understand what is going on, explaining you the science facts behind the experiments.

An Itouch will be offer to the lucky winner of our big sorting. To participate you will just need to enjoy passing through the 13 experiences areas.

You will be able to explore other perception area of your mind by listening to 4 bands on stage: Ryan Scott, Disenteri, Crows and Butterflies and ReStarT, and by viewing the dance representation “Bailando” by Ludalia musical theatre.

Dani Jimenez, a science TV presenter will be driving the event.
