Integrative and Computational Biology Joint symposium - V IMPPC Annual Conference and 4DCellFate Workshop
Barcelona
We are very pleased to welcome you to the mini web for our joint symposium: Integrative and Computational Biology.
One of the biggest opportunities in biology today is the ability to make precise, systematic measurements on a large scale and to computationally integrate large datasets to address fundamental questions in biology. We are now able to study how chromatin is organized in cells, how this organization changes during development, how chromatin and genomes are altered in cancer and how cancer genomes evolve. The big challenge that we now face is how to exploit all this data in meaningful ways and analyse it in order to transform it to basic knowledge and also to translate it to a better understanding of diseases. This knowledge will eventually lead to better diagnostics for diseases such as cancer, better predictions for prognosis and personalized treatments.
As a joint event between the Integrative Cancer Biology program of the Institute of Predictive and Personalized Medicine (IMPPC) and the 4DCellFate EU Project, at the CRG, this conference will be of interest to computational biologists as well as experimental researchers working in the fields of genomics, epigenetics and cancer. Leading scientists of international standing in the fields of computational and integrative biology will discuss cutting-edge developments in current topics ranging from chromatin biology, gene regulation and cancer genome evolution.
We very much hope you can join us at this very special event where data analysis and bench work will join hands, which we believe will provide some fascinating debates.
